When Life Gives You Lemons

I shared a story at The Narrators earlier this week. I was reminded that we each play our roles in contributing to the collective. The hosts of the monthly storytelling show at Buntport Theater create a container for people to connect. The sacredness of this cannot be overstated.
I was also reminded of a promise I made to myself. Part of my story that I shared cited a journal entry from January of 2025. “In the next four years, I will focus my attention, time, and energy on daily actions that are powered by love and compassion, unify, and express joy.”
I see people around me getting laid off or living in fear of being the next casualty of the regime’s cuts. From an energy perspective, getting laid off can leave a significant impression on one’s body/biofield. Last night my intuition guided me to the decision to offer free Reiki to anyone who has been laid off due to federal funding cuts. Receiving a Reiki session can have a wide variety of results, the ones I feel beneficial in this case: nervous system relief, general self-care that re-connects one to their inherent power, and dissolving dense frequencies of anger/trauma/sadness/despondency that can get stuck in the body.
The repercussions of choices made in Washington D.C. reach many people. Seems to me especially individuals who’ve spent their lives in service to the collective. City workers, non-profit workers, public health workers, and on…
If you’ve lost your job due to federal funding cuts, this is me saying I see you. And offering you what I can. Please use code HELLO111 for 60 minutes of Reiki if you feel drawn to this mode of therapy/healing/self care. Currently, this offer is for in-person sessions only. This will expand to distance Reiki via a video call next month.
