What is a sound bath?

Like meditation and yoga, sound baths are a way for us to experience the unity of everything. Viewed as a tool or resource, sound baths can include the use of singing bowls, gongs, chimes, and drums. The vibrations from the sound waves help our brains shift from beta to alpha frequencies (goodbye thinking, hello relaxation).
Immersion in a variety of sound frequencies can also recalibrate energy centers in the body and get them working with each other in harmony.
The most powerful sound baths I’ve experienced have been facilitated by practitioners who set a clear intention at the beginning and consciously hold a container for all the participants. This key component has to do with quantum energetic communication on the molecular and cellular levels. When this awareness is held by the facilitator, powerful healing and consciousness expansion can take place during a sound bath.
